{"id":81,"date":"2010-02-03T19:57:39","date_gmt":"2010-02-04T02:57:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.2soar.info\/word\/?p=81"},"modified":"2010-02-03T19:57:39","modified_gmt":"2010-02-04T02:57:39","slug":"birthdays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/2010\/02\/03\/birthdays\/","title":{"rendered":"Birthdays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">How wonderful is it that my mother and my sister have a race every year to be the first one to call and wish me a happy birthday?<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s a fine line they walk, trying to time it so that it is early <span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span>enough to be the winner <span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span>but not too early that they wake me up and well you know how that can go.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>My sister thought she had it aced with her new found love of texting; but no it was my mother that won (by one minute) with a good old fashioned phone call.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>We laughed pretty hard when I announced \u201cyou win\u201d without even saying hello. That\u2019s my idea of starting the day off right.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">I had a day of texts, emails, cards and phone calls from friends, colleagues, dealers, and passersby.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>My niece Kate, my Summer Sister, my ex husband, my ex boss, Sandi singing from Arizona, I know Sandra\u2019s out there somewhere, <span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span>my friend Ev who was home sick but got up to call for my birthday and then go back to bed, my friend Barb bringing cards and flowers and a cookie.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The enormous bouquet from Terri and Ken and the promise of Bang Bang Shrimp at Bone Fish Grill in the near future. <span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span>The teasing from Jimmy C, the breakfast rescheduled due to the snow, and a free cup of latte from Starbucks.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">You would think it couldn\u2019t get any better but home I went to a bouquet of hydrangea and tulips on my dining room table, the dogs already walked and an invitation to dinner at the Aunt Ms house. <span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span>Salad with all my favorite ingredients, homemade pizza, that is out of this world, and pistachio cake.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>A total fat ass meal as Muriel would say.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Add to that; balloons, my favorite wine and gifts and my day is beyond complete.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">There are those people who don\u2019t want to even acknowledge their birthday but I am not one of them.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s true I don\u2019t want anyone to spend money on me but to bask in the love of my family and friends is warm and rejuvenating.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It keeps me young and fills me with gratitude. <span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">With love to you all til next year\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;
