Some of the prompts repeat\nyear after year and many of those I find my answers also repeat. Such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>A wish<\/em>: &nbsp; To live my life the way I want my story told. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_4021-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3428\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_4021-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_4021-400x400.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_4021-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_4021-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_4021.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Thank you for<\/em>: &nbsp;&nbsp;This day and everything in it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Every walk and every sit<\/li><li>Every compliment and every slight<\/li><li>Every blessing and every lesson<\/li><li>Every binge and every fast<\/li><li>Every prayer and every curse<\/li><li>Every laugh and every cry<\/li><li>Every minute of every day that is #lifeonstowelane with #lovemytotinonna<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>And my word for 2022: <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My word, you may have figured out is posture. It\u2019s an interesting word, in the iceberg illustration of there being so much more below the surface than you can see, not the theater critic calling an opening night performance interesting. There are three definitions that resonate with me:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Physical, the most obvious and most important for healthy\naging.&nbsp; Yeah yeah aging.&nbsp; I\u2019m going kickin and screaming but I\u2019m going.\nI don\u2019t want to be a lovely bent lily as Jeanette used to say.&nbsp; So my yoga classes will help and bringing my\nawareness to pulling my damn shoulders back will too.&nbsp; I might need one of those slouching alarms.&nbsp; Do not send me one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Political, what a whirl wind we remain in.&nbsp; I want my mind open, my attitude open, to\nother people and to social conditions.&nbsp; I\ncome from fighting for women, I can\u2019t imagine I\u2019ll ever stop doing that but\ndivisiveness and blame are not my thing so I\u2019ll be using my now famous: I don\u2019t\nknow what I don\u2019t know frame of mind much more in 2022. Maya said it best, when\nwe know better we do better. We all need to expand our mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Psychological, HG Wells realized, \u201cI don\u2019t always rise to the new posture of things.\u201d Obviously my retirement after this first year is still a new posture of things for me. In so many ways I have risen to new rhythms (I despise the word routine) I have purged more than half of my contacts in this year\u2019s ritual, I have said no as a full sentence and I\u2019m sure there\u2019s more but those are the big three.&nbsp; Hopefully I\u2019ll continue to create a new posture of things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have I been posturing all my life? Probably. Mostly in terms\nof being a woman (car hag) in an industry that isn\u2019t especially welcoming to\nus, especially the old broads that still carry the 70\u2019s slogans, maybe not\nquite as severe as \u201ckill the patriarchy\u201d but you get my point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My posturing now will surely be softer, kinder to those who\nremain, the ones I poke every January to make sure all is well.&nbsp; The ones I want closer to me now that there\nare so many less insignificant distractions. The ones who got away, I want\nthose back.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So let us begin, together, in our own personal ways to make 2022 different, better, safer for ourselves and our people.&nbsp;&nbsp;Shoulders back\u2026&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to January, happy new year?
