{"id":295,"date":"2012-01-31T22:03:13","date_gmt":"2012-02-01T03:03:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/?p=295"},"modified":"2012-01-31T22:03:13","modified_gmt":"2012-02-01T03:03:13","slug":"gotta-dance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/2012\/01\/31\/gotta-dance\/","title":{"rendered":"Gotta Dance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>There is a bit of insanity in dancing that does everybody a great deal of good.\u00a0 ~Edwin Denby<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I haven\u2019t been to Zumba in two weeks and that just doesn\u2019t work for me.\u00a0 I can\u2019t not dance.\u00a0 Tuesdays and Fridays belong to me and my Zumba class so leave me alone.\u00a0 Go wherever you need to go without me. \u00a0There I said it, and I\u2019ll keep saying it.\u00a0 Unless you\u2019re in a hospital bed or my job depends on it, hence the two weeks that have gone by, don\u2019t call me for anything on Tuesday or Friday.\u00a0 Oh yeah and unless you\u2019re my mother who can\u2019t seem to get the Friday thing down.<\/p>\n<p>Let me just say that I am not a dancer.\u00a0 Let me also say that I am not an athlete so when my big fat ass started getting bigger and fatter I was in quite the dilemma.\u00a0 Enter Zumbablast with Melissa Avalo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Zumba is a Latin inspired dance class that gets you moving and having a blast while burning between 800-1000 calories per hour depending on your personal intensity.\u00a0 I am intense, I dance with abandon, and I am in the zone.\u00a0 Just don\u2019t put me in a room with mirrors it cramps my style a bit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Missy is a little dynamo that creates choreography that is inspiring.\u00a0 As you grow older they say that you should challenge your brain by doing little things that reconnect your synapses in different ways like brushing your teeth with your other hand or going to work a different way.\u00a0 Seriously, just try learning Missy\u2019s new choreography every couple of weeks and you\u2019ll be fine.
