Unless something incredibly amazing happens during August, we\u2019re taking the month off from blogging. I\u2019ve been trying to launch the Elder Beauty Project <\/a>and it just hasn\u2019t happened.\u00a0 Why? Beats the stuffing out of me\u2026 Fear? Well yeah, there\u2019s always that. Not knowing where to begin?\u00a0 Absolutely.<\/p>\n

What if?\u00a0 I\u2019ve been through enough what ifs to last a lifetime and haven\u2019t come up with a decent answer yet. So now is the time to start asking for help.\u00a0 Did I say that out loud?\u00a0 Yes, yes I did.\u00a0 There are brilliant people in my circles that would be more than willing to tell me how to get started, stay motivated, shut up about the what ifs and on and on. Why the hell do I think I always have to reinvent the wheel?\u00a0 On my own? You know why\u2026<\/p>\n

\"Ida<\/a><\/p>\n

I believe in this project so what\u2019s the holdup.\u00a0\u00a0 I envision it to be a cross between Humans of New York and On the Road with Steve Hartman with a culinary twist.\u00a0 Make sense?\u00a0 Fine, you\u2019ll see, it will look a lot like this<\/a>; one of the most satisfying days of my life on a creative level, culinary level and humanistic level. \u00a0I will never forget it and crave so many more of them.<\/p>\n

\"Jeanette2\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So I\u2019m going to channel my inner Jeanette<\/a> (in whose honor I dedicate the project) and get off my ass and talk to people about their people or other people\u2019s people and get this thing going. The overriding fear of these stories not being told should surpass\u00a0the fear of getting started. \u00a0You can get involved, you know, at the Elder Beauty Project<\/a>. Just sayin.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also going to take part in the August Break 2016<\/a> with the incredible Susannah Conway<\/a>, to make sure my brain doesn\u2019t completely explode, along with a host of other incredible bloggers and creative souls and just plain humans. \u00a0Look for the Ordinary Legacy\u00a0images <\/a>on Instagram #augustbreak2016<\/a><\/p>\n

See you in September, when the summer\u2019s through\u2026with a plan, renewed enthusiasm and all the courage I can muster. Can\u2019t wait.<\/p>\n
