{"id":1346,"date":"2013-03-08T06:00:18","date_gmt":"2013-03-08T11:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/?p=1346"},"modified":"2013-03-08T06:06:01","modified_gmt":"2013-03-08T11:06:01","slug":"international-womens-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/2013\/03\/08\/international-womens-day\/","title":{"rendered":"International Women&#8217;s Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/2013\/03\/08\/international-womens-day\/intl-womens-day-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1354\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1354\" alt=\"intl womens day 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ordinarylegacy.com\/word\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/intl-womens-day-2.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"145\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A woman can say more in a sigh than a man can say in a sermon.\u00a0 ~Arnold Haultain<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve done my share of sighing for some of the women around me.\u00a0 They struggle with things most can\u2019t imagine, yet they go to work each day.\u00a0 They are giving birth and mourning parents.\u00a0 They are holding their breath waiting for test results and jumping for joy when results come back negative.\u00a0 Funny how that word negative can bend in both directions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Women are making their way in the world around and about and because of and in spite of any number of circumstances because they are made of something bigger than themselves.\u00a0 I consider myself a woman of substance and circumstance and I know many like me.\u00a0 We stand beside one another and tend, feed, nurse, educate, monitor, walk with, cry with, hold each other\u2019s hands and hearts at a moment\u2019s notice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There are also women and girls that lack substance not yet having acquired a laundry list of circumstances from which to draw.\u00a0 How can we show them without preaching, disrespecting or belittling? \u00a0How can we keep watch over them yet not interfere in the circumstances that are so essential to growth and wisdom?
